Situated in an old fishing village right on the coast they do fantastic fish and chips. There is fresh crab in the summer and mussels feature in the winter and with a new chef on board creating new specials rest assured there's plenty to wet your appetite. EAST WRETHAM The Dog and Partridge

Excellent food and a good range for a pub in the middle of nowhere. Aspalls Suffolk Cyder on draught - super. The decor is a bit basic, but the welcome is very warm, as is the large fire on a cold night. The Peddars Way passes the doorstep, so this is an excellent refreshment spot for walkers.

GREAT HOCKHAM The Eagle Inn

A pretty basic village pub just come under new landlord/lady February 2008. Wasn't yet doing bar meals when we visited, but intends to start doing so in March (2008). However, they did put together a sandwich for us - impromptu style. Quite happy to have well-behaved dogs. Don't take any notice of anti-dog notice on door - a left-over from previous landlord. It's surprising how many pubs say 'yes' when asked.
