MINSTER LOVELL Old Swan & Minster Mill

An old mill built from beautiful Cotswold stone and set in 60 acres of gorgeous landscaped gardens including the River Windrush and in the tiny village of Minster Lovell. Local ales and fantastic food (although at good restaurant prices, not pub prices - but then it is good restaurant food, not pub food!). Good accommodation. Huge inglenook style open fires burning so pleasant smell of wood smoke everywhere.
Minster Lovell Hall ruins are just 5 mins walk away.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were given a map of the hotel (it is quite large as there are conference facilities, although you would not guess to look at it as the whole place is so quaint) and a map with local walks. Our dog was given a bowl of water and a bowl of biscuits (including 2 further refills on Sat evening!) every time we went into the Old Swan. All the staff fussed over him both in the Old Swan and the Mill.
