A beautiful recently refurbed country pub near Alcester - just a 15 minute drive from the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon. NAPTON The Bridge

When 6 humans and 5 dogs (including one Guide dog) - descended on this pub our supporter was told, "Bring the dogs inside with you, it's rather windy out there, you don't want to eat outside today!" 5 dogs were no problem. Food good with decent portions at sensible price and quite a good choice. Service was good and friendly. The pub is right beside the canal and the main A426 (I think?) between Daventry and Southam (hence the name). Recommend to anyone with dogs :(

This is a nice unpretentious canal side pub, taken over about a 10 months ago. DP Supporter visited with a 6 month old pup and they were very welcoming, (that is a good test!) 2 more dogs came in later and the attitude was: the more the merrier. Food was good pub grub perfect for Sunday lunch when out on a walk. Big child friendly enclosed back garden and a smaller front garden on the canal side. A wood burner in the bar with wing chairs to sit by and warm up!
