Although dogs are not allowed in when the kitchen is open,....so.... you cant eat with your dog?...we cant list this... but then apparently this is a great place for whisky and real ale drinkers. Dogs will especially like it during the winter, when they get to hog the fireplace!

EDINBURGH Stockbridge Tap
Typical old man's pub. Good as part of a dog friendly pub tour around Stockbridge/New Town area (start at Kays, then head to the Wally Dug, The Cumberland, St Vincent, The Baillie, Hamiltons, Hectors, and finish at The Stockbridge Tap). This sounds like good advice says Millie.

EDINBURGH The Regent

Five minutes walk from Arthur's Seat; a great place in the centre of the city to have a ramble with the pooch.
Real ale (CAMRA Pub Of The Year 2008 for Edinburgh & South East Scotland) food available every day from opening time until late. Homemade soups, stews and things like haggis and stovies plus vegetarian and vegan choices make this a good place to settle in for a pint with the dog(s). And with water bowls and doggie chews, the dogs sometimes get looked after better than the punters... We are informed by humans that this is 'straight friendly' pub. City life sounds very interesting, thinks Millie!
