border.gif (3K) DOGGIE PUBS
Find out where you and your best friend are welcome.

By their recommendations, like-minded people help to make DoggiePubs a useful, non-commercial guide to happy eating out with your dog.

Pubs get included by recommendation - they can't pay to be listed. Eager publicans earn their listings by being dog-friendly, that's all. Our reward is knowing how much this site is liked, and discovering more places where Millie will be welcome.

DUDDINGSTON The Sheep Heid Inn
star ratingstar rating
Friendly pub with good cask ales and great food. Other facilities include a skittles alley and dogs are very much welcome to sit in the bar while you eat.

EDINBURGH Cloisters

Although dogs are not allowed in when the kitchen is open,....so.... you cant eat with your dog?...we cant list this... but then apparently this is a great place for whisky and real ale drinkers. Dogs will especially like it during the winter, when they get to hog the fireplace!

EDINBURGH Hectors

Lovely relaxed atmosphere serves food and has good music, speciality beers and all sorts of other drinks. Loads of candles and low level lighting especially towards the back of the bar.

EDINBURGH Stable Bar

The Stable Bar is located in Mortonhall Stable Courtyard. Child, dog and family friendly. An open fire in winter, a beautiful courtyard in summer, lovely! The ambience is friendly and relaxed. A bowl of water always available for dogs, along with a welcome pat from the staff & customers alike!

EDINBURGH The Illicit Still
star ratingstar rating
Very friendly pub with up to three real ales on draught. Lots of nice malt whiskies as well. Basic pub menu, but very well done using only the freshest of local ingredients.

EDINBURGH The Regent
star ratingstar rating
Five minutes walk from Arthur's Seat; a great place in the centre of the city to have a ramble with the pooch. Real ale (CAMRA Pub Of The Year 2008 for Edinburgh & South East Scotland) food available every day from opening time until late. Homemade soups, stews and things like haggis and stovies plus vegetarian and vegan choices make this a good place to settle in for a pint with the dog(s). And with water bowls and doggie chews, the dogs sometimes get looked after better than the punters... PLEASE NOTE: we are reliably informed by humans that this is predominately a pub for the Edinburgh gay community.
