If you like your sausages do yourself a favour and pay this pub a visit. Known internationally as the "sausage pub" they do, of course, offer other meals on their menu with the emphasis on fresh! Dogs are more than welcome on a lead and can have a pint of beer if they so wish, but water bowls are also provided. Emsworth is situated on the Wayfarer's Walk but there are endless other walks around the coast to work up an appetite with.

Fantastic, friendly pub/restaurant. Bowls of water and doggy treats available at all times. Amazing food and a selection fine ales too. Recommend the shared starter, Baked Camembert, red onion chutney and breads.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but a table can be booked in the bar and is reserved for two and a half hours, giving you plenty of time for a three course meal. There is a loyalty scheme for returning customers.

Cosy fire for the winter months. Lovely outside area for the warmer months. This was our puppy's first holiday and first visit to a pub and he loved it. Excellent location on the River Hamble with plenty of parking opposite and nearby - though busy as lots of sailors. Food is generally good and service friendly. Lovely views of river. The menu predictable. Excellent value especially if one sticks to the set menu; i.e. 3 course for £9.95! Good beers including the reliable Greene King brews. Well behaved dogs with sensible owners. Supporter says they have waited many years for this pub to accept dogs, so is praying all owners will behave!
