This historic country inn is just a short drive from central Croydon, near Biggin Hill, but it's out in the country, so a great place to go for a dog walk. There's a large outdoor area with tables and chairs and on fine weather days. The outside Burger Shack is open. Bowls of water outside the front door, the true sign of a Doggie Pub. Very welcoming atmosphere and lovely old fashioned decor with exposed stone walls and flagged floors. Excellent food all cooked from scratch and a list of local suppliers appears on the menu. Gets very busy so service is sometimes slow but always good natured. Dogs allowed in bar and in the covered courtyard dining area although the downside is that's where children are put as well. If you book a table tell them you have a dog as some areas reserved.
