This is the local pub for DP Supporter Richard and is of course dog friendly. Great food and a great selection of real ales. Its also situated on the coventry canal, so you can walk for miles either direction into wonderful countryside.

Went to this pub last Saturday lunchtime with the dog. They have a side door which leads to a tiled area where the barman welcomed the dog enthusiastically. Without being asked he brought over a bowl of water and gave the dog a fuss. The back bar was full of locals who had the same attitude as the barman and we were made to be felt very welcome. Good range of drinks and top quality food.

The Miners rest is a fantastic community pub. Situated 200 yards from a very popular dog-walking route on the leafy green of Chasewater country park.
