Couldn't get anymore welcoming for dogs. The CAMRA listed, family-run pub also has a sausage dog and Siamese cat. Dog treats on the bar and water bowls at the ready. We stayed overnight with our Jack Russell. The large carpeted lounge welcomes dogs and there is a varied and fairly extensive menu.

Very nice pub in the middle of the village. The dogs were very welcome and were given Bonio biscuits. The pub is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays. Food is served in all parts of the pub and looked good though we didn't eat there. Outside terrace as well with views.

Very friendly cafe owner Roger invited us in when it was pouring with rain and we were looking hopefully down the courtyard to the cafe. The dogs were given a plate of bacon and Roger was full fo useful information, suggesting a nice flat and easy but interesting local walk as one of our dogs is quite elderly. Lovely food and great coffee too.

Stuart and Mandy run a traditional pub and are extremely dog friendly. Sometimes on a Sunday there are as many dogs as people. DP supporter can't recommend this friendly pub highly enough and apparently the real ale is the best around (and one of the cheapest).

Our dog Marmite was made to feel very welcome in the restaurant room set aside as dog friendly; The French Room. There was a water bowl in room and a great fuss was made of him and plenty of treats given to him. Ate lunch too which was very good and reasonably priced. There is also a short walk just near the pub with a nice stream which our dog loved and ideal to walk off the lovely food.
