One of the most doggie friendly pubs in Warwick, and backing onto St Nicholas Park, this pub is also very close to a great dog walking area. The large enclosed garden is ideal for 4 legged friends to run off a bit of energy during the winter, though they do need to be on a lead during the busier months of the year. Submitted by landlord.
There are no restrictions on where they can be inside as long as they are on a lead and off the furniture, there are always a number of water bowls available as well a free treats on the bar. Most dogs will be welcomed by the pub border collie, Riggs, though if he doesn't get on with them then he has the pleasure of spending some time upstairs or out back.
We always have a minimum of 2 cask beers on but have the facility to serve up to 6, with 1 always a local brew. Our food is traditional British Pub food which is all homemade on the premises with ingredients sourced from a local butcher and fishmongers. While most of our recent (we took over in January 2018) tripadvisor and Google reviews focus on the food a few do mention our love of dogs. Good food. Good value. Lovely friendly staff. Lovely canal-side pub owned by father and son. The menu is extensive and the food is excellent. They have both a lunch and evening menu and food is served all day.
Dogs are welcomed by all in both the bar area and the large beer garden. The pub is happy to take a reservation to ensure you can dine indoors with your furry friend.
Live music most weekends in the garden too and lovely walks surrounding the pub.

Good food. The pub is in the Good Beer Guide. Plenty of drinks to choose from including proper ales and they offer really excellent service. Everyone is incredibly welcome; visitors and locals alike.
Dogs are made very welcome in the garden, with biscuits, cuddles, and plenty of water available. They are also allowed in the bar.
There is a nice garden with a park for children and the pub backs on to the canal. A great place to moor up if you are on a boat holiday or just to stop and take a walk up the waterside.
