All produce is sourced locally; fish from Newhaven, meat from butchers in Eastbourne, vegetables from Charleston Manor and free range eggs. You'll want to come here for the food alone!!

A lovely pub just off the high street with a garden to enjoy in the summer. Harvey's Ales on tap (you can see the brewery from here!) and the food is a cut above the usual pub grub.
Dogs are permitted inside the pub and food is served everywhere so you can eat with your dog. I was offered a bowl of water for Prince. It's quite a big place with enough space between the tables for a greyhound to lay down!

Visited after a walk from Ditchling on New Years Day. Despite the fact they were closing they made us welcome accommodating drinks and welcome hot chocolate. Can't comment on food but staff were lovely, very nice atmosphere, very welcoming to children and doggies- will definitely visit again as I suspect it may be a rather nice place for a Sunday roast given the calls coming in to book!

This is the oldest pub in St Leonards-on-sea, a pleasant back street real ale free house, well worth finding at the heart of historic old St Leonards. The outside gives no clue to the unusual horseshoe-shaped bar, with a separate, narrow, quieter room at the rear. Food is not served in the pub, but there is the adjoining renowned St Clements Restaurant.
