Van Winkle's offer a very good and typical pub selection of food. Food tastes pretty good and price is competitive.
Van Winkle, destroy every other dog friendly pub I have ever experienced as yes many other pubs offer water for you dog, a few offer treats for your dog. Van Winkle offer a superbly priced menu for your dog. For only a few pounds you can feed your special friend with fish, beef or chicken with rice, pasta, veg etc and the portion sizes are very generous.
I am biting at the but literally for dog friendly places that even come close to Van Winkle's as it's only 1 place and I ain't always ideally located to consider a drive through to Van Winkle's.

Found this pub by accident. It is a gem just outside Glasgow city centre. Great food and service, they consider themselves as a "Gastro Pub". Dog friendly and very deceiving in size. Has a covered outside area complete with TV, if that's your thing.

I cannot stress how fab this pub is for eating with your pooch. The staff were super-friendly and treat your dog just like human customers.
As you arrive they offer you the 'dog menu' (yes, you read that right, they have their own dedicated menu!) and bring them a bowl of water when you have your drinks. There is also doggie beer.
It is a bit loud so if your dog is easily spooked it's probably best to go in quieter times but cannot recommend The Winged Ox Bear and Kitchen enough. Simply wonderful if looking for great food, relaxed atmosphere, great surroundings and a nice welcome.
It's in a great location near the centre of town. I have visited a few times and my dog certainly gives it the paw of approval.
